For What It's Worth

A day and a week.

That is all that is left until I am a senior. Then I enter the real world, scary. Hopefully everything will be back to normal economically come this time next year. Unfortunately I am moving out of Wrigleyville, bummer. I’m heading back home for my final semester. Basically it boils down to saving money and I don’t feel like taking out another loan just to stay behind Wrigley Field. I suppose that is the smart thing to do.

I do look forward to being able to hang out with friends who still live in my home town. I haven’t seen them as often as I’d like to since I’ve moved up here, but I’m going to make the most of my return to the suburbs.  I have a few things planned out for my final two semesters. I got my schedule set for next fall and I’m hoping that they are offering semester in LA as well. It’d be pretty sweet to spend a winter month out in Cali.

I will miss living behind Wrigley. I had such an awesome summer last year. The Cubs were winning and the parties were good. I partied with my neighbors as well as friends that had moved into the area. Pretty awesome to say the least. Ha, that statement about the parties were good sounded like something a burnt out 80s rock star would say on VH1’s Behind the Music.  Anyhow I can always look back and say I got to live behind Wrigley Field. Certainly can’t take that away from me.

Speaking of the Cubs while my girlfriend and I were walking to get dinner a week ago today a gentleman approached us and asked if we wanted free bleacher tickets. We both looked at each other like,” is this guy serious?” We said yeah, he asked if we were going to use them. We said yes. Like we would let free bleacher tickets go to waste. Grant it it was the fifth inning, but who is going to pass up free tickets. He gave them to us and we said thanks and made our way back to our apartment to get ready to go to the game. We missed the two home runs at were hit by the Cubs in the process, but still managed to get to the game by the end of the fifth. Unfortunately they lost the game after pissing away a 2-0 lead and then they really coughed it up as they surrendered six runs in the top of the tenth. Bad game, but can’t complain about free tickets.

The big news of the day is Manny Ramirez is suspended for 50 days. To that I say, how stupid are you Manny ? Damn it you let the fans down, your team down and most importantly you let my fantasy team down. Unbelievable in this day in age you don’t check with someone about taking something that might cause you to get in trouble, moron. Well that is my say on that and until next time I’m saying Mahalo.
