For What It's Worth

Crime According to Every Block.

So I searched my address and I was surprised to find that the types of crimes were different then what I expected. When I think of Wrigleyville and crime I think of public intoxication, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, public urination etc, etc, etc.

Considering the location you would think that those types of things were common place. Much to my surprise they were different. The last recorded entry was a theft on April 8. I guess I figured Wrigleyville didn’t have that type of crime.  Crimes have resulted from simple battery, breaking and entering, violation of a restraining order and harassment by telephone.

It’s amazing how much of this goes on with out our knowledge. It’s kind of disturbing to know this goes on. It almost gives me more comfort not knowing about these things. I’m still surprised that none of the crimes I thought of were not on the list.  What would all these crimes be without a grand theft auto.

If I were to commit a crime it would definitely be a breaking and entering. Always love a good B&E as Dane Cook would say. Back to the point though it is comforting to know there aren’t any murders or shootings in the area. At worst I noticed there was an aggervated assault with knife/cutting instrument at a restuarant according to the site. I guess someone wasn’t happy with their order. Anyhow I feel safer here then say 95th and the Dan Ryan. In closing there will always be crime no matter where you live it just seems to vary by area.
